We have had an “Open Permit” to operate in Canada anywhere at anytime for over 3 years. This means we can operate with zero prior notice including flying up to 400ft and flying at night.
We pride ourselves in never having had a single accident or incident in over 5 years of drone filming work. Our commitment to safety has been commended by the productions we have worked with.
We have been filming with Drones since 2009 and were one of the first in North America to be filming for major TV and Film Productions. Our pilots have between 10 and 25 years of RC flying experience.
Always driven to get the smoothest, highest quality footage for our clients, we began using the MoVI brushless camera gimbal as soon as it was available.
Our fleet of drones are able to carry a wide range of cameras and equipment including RED Weapon/Dragon/Epic, Alexa Mini, Black Magic, Follow Focus and more.
Heli Video Pros was the first company to be invited to join the IATSE 669 Cinematographers Union. And we have been asked by ActSafe to join the committee to rewrite their safety policies for filming with drones.

Recently we joined a talented team of filmmakers in the production of an outstanding commercial for the new 2015 Ford Edge. Filming with drones downtown in a large city like Vancouver requires very careful planning and coordination, not only with the production team, but also with the city itself. By working closely with the production
In 2014 the producers of the TV series Fargo asked us to come out and film with them in Alberta. They were interested in not only our drone aerial filming skills but also our MoVI handheld camera gimbal. With the story of the TV show unfolding in the remote and very cold town of Fargo, North Dakota, we too did our filming in cold, wintery conditions in Alberta.
We were privileged to have recently worked with the highly talented cast and crew of ABC's hit TV Series "Once Upon a Time" For the opening shot of this episode we were asked to fly high above the tree line with a group of actors looking up at a kite.
